Cleveland Browns receiver David Bell is used to making catches, but his family made a major haul Sunday during the win over the Indianapolis Colts when a baby was born at Lucas Oil Stadium.
An Indianapolis native and former Purdue player, Bell had hundreds of friends and family members in attendance for the Week 7 matchup. It was in the early stages of the game when one of Bell's family members gave birth inside the stadium, WLFI reported.
"Our niece was born here in the stadium today. My niece went into labor and they delivered her at 1:20. So it's a really exciting day," Kareem Butler, Bell's mother, told the outlet.
A spokesperson for Lucas Oil Stadium confirmed the birth in a statement to USA TODAY Sports.
"We extend our warmest congratulations and wishes for good health to the family," the statement read. " We also want to express our gratitude to our partners at IU Health, they are consistently well-prepared for any medical situation at the Stadium and yesterday was no exception."

After the game, Bell shared with WLFI his excitement in having a new family member be born at one of his games.
"It's a blessing," Bell said. "Her whole idea was to try to have the baby before the game but, you know it’s all in God’s timing. Now I have a new niece, so hopefully I get to see her when I come back to the city."
A third-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, Bell played in three offensive and seven special team snaps in Sunday's win, not recording a catch. He has four catches for 33 yards this season.
